Vacant Trustee of Public Funds Position

The Town of Bethel is currently looking for a person to volunteer as a Trustee of Public Funds. The interested person must be a legal voter in the Town of Bethel. If you are interested, please submit a letter of interest to the Town Manager at tkirby@townofbethelvt.com, or drop it off at the office. The duty of the three trustees is to manage funds held by the town in trust. At the March 2026 Town Meeting, a position for one trustee remained vacant. If appointed by the Selectboard, you would serve until the March 2027 Town Meeting where you would need to run for the two-year remainder of the three-year term. This position is outlined in Vermont State Statute at 24 V.S.A. § 2431.
