Notice of Hearings to Reclassify or Discontinue Bundy, Mears & a .40 section of Sugar Hill

Attached are the notices for inspections and hearings September 28, 2026 at 4pm for Bundy Road, Mears Road and a .40 mile section of Sugar Hill Road. 

The section of Sugar Hill Road was originally discontinued in 1971, turned over to the surrounding land owner and remains gated. For unknown reasons, during the Ancient Road projects, this section was added back in. This discontinuance is to go back to the 1971 decision.

Bundy Road and Mears Road are currently Class 3 roads and are plowed and maintained by the Town. These roads each go to one home. The Selectboard needs to inspect each road or section there of, then determine if it serves the "public good" to reclassify or discontinue it.

The Selectboard has 60 days after the inspection to make their determination.
