VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

Towns, cities and villages run on volunteers: from serving on boards, commissions, and advisory committees to working as polling officials, volunteer firefighters, or elected officials. Other volunteer opportunities may not require as much time, but are equally important. Residents can join clean-up days, work at recreational or cultural events, help write the town history and keep track of artifacts, publicize community milestones, or even keep track of a neighbor who lives alone. Your participation is important and valued!

There is always something to do! It matters that residents volunteer. Getting involved in local government by serving on a town board or committee can be more than just personally satisfying; it helps build a community. Vital programs and services can generate positive interest from outside the community attracting people and businesses that add interest, value, and spirit to our town, potentially increasing property values along with quality of life.

The Town of Bethel is always looking for people who want to help in some way. There are many committees that need more members, and the Bethel Fire Department is in need of members who are willing to make a commitment of time to attend monthly meetings and trainings, and respond to emergency calls.
